About SeeMore Shopping
Chicago-based SeeMore Shopping, an independent publication, was created with the goal of making in-store shopping easier for consumers and creating visibility for local destinations, stores, designers and merchandise. Whether you love to shop or hate to shop, we can help you do it smarter by staying informed about the dynamic retail environment.
Our first product launch was the detailed SeeMore Shopping Chicago Store Map which shows the precise location, address and phone number of 1200 retail stores, listed by category, in every shopping neighborhood in downtown Chicago.
In addition to well-traveled Michigan Avenue, Oak Street and State Street destinations, this map picks up where others left off. We include the growing retail community in the West Loop, River North and Streeterville areas. Finding designer brands to everyday needs, this pocket companion is a helpful complement to any shopping trip – for locals and tourists alike. 
Once our map was completed, it was time to venture out and see more of Chicago and its suburbs. And what better way to keep shoppers informed in a timely and organized way than to go on-line.
Join us on a virtual shopping tour. Browse the Magnificent Mile, Oak Street and State Street in downtown Chicago, the tree-lined neighborhoods of Old Town and Lincoln Park, the diversity of Lakeview, and the hip areas of Bucktown/Wicker Park. See the quaint areas of Lincoln Square, Roscoe Village and Andersonville.
We’ll explore larger suburban shopping centers, including Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg and Westfield Old Orchard in Skokie, introduce you to outlet centers in Aurora, Geneva and Michigan City, and travel to other must-see neighborhoods. And you can do all this without setting foot out of your living room, office, hotel or classroom.
What we've created is an organized, easy-to-navigate shopper's guide and search database that can be updated frequently to reflect changes on the retail scene. Our staff of local writers and shoppers searches daily for information you can use. You'll be able to read about new stores, local favorites and hidden gems before you go out. Information is archived, so you have it when you want it.
Because this is an independent shopping resource, every retail store is entitled to a free listing. And affordable paid advertising and promotion enhance the site's usefulness without influencing its editorial content. SeeMore Shopping is very pleased to announce that it will be a co-sponsor of THE MIX Style File Events planned during March through October 2007.
The monthly Style File Events will be hosted by Melissa and Cynthia from the Eric & Kathy Morning Show and bring together local shoppers for an evening of entertainment, giveaways, beauty services, complimentary wine, and great shopping in Chicago’s premiere stores.
An exclusive Fashion Rocks Event, hosted by Eric & Kathy, is planned for Fall 2007 to celebrate this year’s Style File Event participants and attendees.

Elizabeth Engquist, President/Owner
Elizabeth (Liz) Engquist is the founder, president and owner of SeeMore Shopping, an independent Chicago-based print and online publisher dedicated to Chicago shopping. SeeMore Shopping publications include the Chicago Shopping Guide at www.seemoreshopping.com, the Downtown Chicago Store Map, and Neighborhood Shopping Guides for SeeMore Shopping Tours. SeeMore also produces unique shopping events and neighborhood shopping tours.
A long-time Chicago resident and avid shopper, Liz is passionate about creating visibility for Chicago and Suburban neighborhoods, stores and designers while making it easier for shoppers to “see more” of what they’re looking for. She actively searches out opportunities and partnerships to bring local businesses and shoppers together.
Starting her own business has been a longtime dream for Liz, who spent years searching for a business opportunity that could express her love of retail and fashion while leveraging her strong research and financial background.
Liz recently joined the Board of The Chicago Fashion Foundation as its Treasurer and is inspired by the dedication of its members to supporting the growth and heighten the awareness of the fashion industry in Chicago.
Prior to starting SeeMore Shopping, Liz spent 12 years working in the financial field, primarily analyzing stocks for a $1B equity fund at Stein, Roe & Farnham. She also worked in administrative management for an investment banking firm, and in project management for a start-up venture capital group. Liz holds a B.S.degree in Finance from Ball State University.
Jerry Roman, Partner
Jerry Roman has brought a strong creative focus to clients from Allscripts to Zebra Technologies. Working within a solid marketing strategy, his creative achievements include brand identity, positioning and stewardship; local and national advertising and promotional campaigns; packaging design; website development; collateral architecture; and trade-show planning.
A few accounts that have been beneficiaries of Jerry's talents are United Airlines, OAG, Budget Rent-a-Car, GTE Airfone, Grainger, Sears Kenmore, Sesame Street, Miyata Bicycles, Loyola, Cars.com, Washington Capitols, and more.
Jerry is the owner of Rome & Company, an advertising agency and brand consultancy. Rome & Company relies on rigorous market research, sound principles of brand strategy and superior writing and design. Their services include corporate identity development, print advertising, radio and TV advertising, web development and packaging. Their goal is to help organizations make better decisions about the manner in which they communicate.
Prior to Rome & Company, Jerry was a creative director for large, international agencies, where he developed national campaigns for nationally-known brands.
Jacqueline Zenn, Fashion Editor/Writer
Jacqueline Zenn grew up in the Detroit area and arrived in Chicago by way of South Bend, Indiana. After earning a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Notre Dame (go Irish!), she traveled though Europe and North Africa. Her experiences inspired her to forgo her law school plans for something more creative and she chose to focus her talents on fashion and writing.
Once she returned to the states, she moved to Chicago and quickly established herself in the local fashion community. Jacqueline also writes for Second City Style, AOL's Stylelist, and Image Chicago. In addition, she keeps a fashion blog,
The Fashionable Kiffen as well as a personal blog, Chasing the Southern Cross.

Meg'n Braida
Meg’n Braida has an extensive fashion background derived from prior retail advertising and sales positions. Currently, the mother of twin boys, Meg’n works part-time for a non-profit organization, and is working towards obtaining her yoga teaching certification. Of course, she always finds time (to her husband’s dismay) to peruse one of her favorite hobbies, bargain shopping. Other hobbies include reading, gardening, high-fashion, traveling and writing.
Meg’n’s favorite stores include Loehmann’s, T.J. Maxx (Danada location), Crate & Barrel outlet, and resale shops.
Amanda Chin
Amanda Chin is an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where she is majoring in Speech Communication / Communications-Media Studies and minoring in Political Science. In addition to working with SeeMore Shopping, she has interned with Grant Thornton LLP.
With a huge interest in fashion, Amanda describes her style as classic-trendy with a touch of glam. She follows the trends with accessories, wearing stilettos with anything and everything, and turning a simple outfit into a glamorous one with the right pair of shoes, some jewelry and the right purse! When it comes to purses and shoes, she goes for the labels.
Her friends call her a fashionista, helping to regulate what is "appropriate" for them to wear. Shopping on a students budget, Amanda will look everywhere for the best deals. She loves chain stores like Bebe and Steve Madden, and locally-owned favorites including Nevermind and So Good Jewelry.
Amelia Dellos
Amelia Dellos is a dynamic, well rounded integrated marketing professional. She has an expertise in all areas of marketing communications and public relations including; product management, sales training, online marketing, promotions, sponsorships and event planning. With more than 12 years of experience working at major corporate and non-profit organizations, her industry experience includes the following categories; retail, consumer package goods, liquor, entertainment, automotive, travel, and health care.
Amelia considers shopping a full time hobby and although she worships at the altar of Neiman Marcus she still loves picking through the $1 bin at Target. Her main priority has been dressing her 13 month old daughter Alena, and has been scouring the city for fun children’s clothing and accessories. Her favorite stores are Nordstrom’s on Michigan Avenue for shoes, for that one-of-a-kind piece (that you’ll sure to get lots of compliments) Utopia and for children’s clothes you can’t miss the TreeHouse. For fun and funky home furnishings, she just love, love, loves Scout and Seagrass. She also has a passion for antiques and loves mixing them with contemporary furniture.
Laura Heller
Laura Heller has been reporting on mass-market retail trends and initiatives since 1995. She has spent the better part of a decade analyzing industry and consumer trends in the electronics, photography and home entertainment categories. As a business journalist, she interacts regularly with executives at Fortune 500 companies, industry experts, financial analysts and consultants.
Laura is the contributing Home Tech editor at Traditional Home magazine and served as Editor of Entertainment Living, a supplement within Metropolitan Home and Elle Décor magazines that counsels consumers on how to buy an HDTV and addresses the unique design issues surrounding technology in the home.
Laura served as Senior Editor at Retailing Today magazine (formerly Discount Store News), as a contributing editor to Chain Store Age, Consumer Electronics Daily, Drug Store News, Home Channel News and Photo Marketing magazines. She is an adjunct professor at Chicago’s Columbia College School of Journalism and has been a guest speaker at Northwestern University’s School of Journalism Magazine Publishing graduate program.
Laura served as a consultant to eBrain Market Research, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), and helped to structure some of the initial groundbreaking research on Women and Consumer Electronics. She has served as a spokesperson for the CEA’s TechGirl program, a judge for the TechGirl product showcase at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and was recently part of a special delegation to China representing the CE industry.
Through her journalistic coverage of such retailers as Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, Sears Holdings and Wal-Mart, Laura has unparalleled inside knowledge of the nation’s largest, most successful and innovative retailers. She has helped to direct companies such as Microsoft, Motorola and Kodak in reaching their retail targets with custom publishing projects and has spoken on the subject of marketing technology to women at numerous trade events including CES, Marketing to Mom’s and Parks Associates’ Connections.
She holds a BA degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa.
